It is with great sadness and regret that we inform you of the passing of our IFKF-WKA Treasurer Mr. Carlos Castro on 13th August 2024.
He was a dynamic leader and an extraordinary person who was a great inspiration to one and all.
His contributions to the cause of Kidney Disease, Organ Donation and Patient Advocacy are truly significant.
It is a great loss to IFKF-WKA and all the organisations he was with.
Our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to his family and all those who worked with him in the organisations he dedicated his life to.
May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.

World Kidney Day
World Kidney Day is a Global Campaign done every year aimed at bringing awareness on the importance of having Healthy Kidneys.
World Kidney Day is a joint initiative of International Federation of Kidney Foundations (IFKF- WKA ) and the International Society of Nephrology
We encourage public participation in all our activities and encourage them to understand the risk factors of Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) Our aim is to have Healthy Kidney for all.

Synchrony Dialogues with MOHAN Foundation is delighted to invite you to an inspirational talk by Dr Venkat Sumantran in association with TANKER (Tamilnad Kidney Research) Foundation, International Federation of Kidney Foundations – World Kidney Alliance (IFKF-WKA) and TRIOMPH (Transplant Recipients of India and Organ failure Patients – a Movement to Provide Hope) to commemorate the World Kidney Day.
Dr Sumantran is a business leader, technocrat, academic and author, with over 30 years of experience in mobility across the US, Europe and Asia. He is an advisor to several Fortune-100 organizations and has spoken in multiple national and international forums. He is also a kidney donor himself.
TANKER Foundation is an NGO that creates awareness on kidney diseases and provides subsidized dialysis to poor patients. TRIOMPH is a Patient Support Group initiative by MOHAN Foundation committed to improving the quality of life of organ failure patients, transplant recipients and their families.
